Competition on the court usually leads to trash talk which is normal. However, it was taken too far when Ja Morant provided a gun gesture for a second time this week to which it cost him.
According to a NBA press release, his first time of deliver the inappropriate gesture was during the Memphis Grizzlies – Golden State Warriors game where he shared the gesture with Buddy Hield… To which he was warned by the league not to do once more based on Tuesday night’s game.

This isn’t Morant’s first troubled-moment in the NBA as he has a history of inappropriate actions on the court.
In 2023, the Grizzlies star-player was suspended twice. In addition, he was banned eight games as a result of his firearm gestureat a Denver-area nightclub.
Once more, the firearm gesture was provided by him and he was ban 25 games after the firearm car gesture in a live stream.
Apparently his previous actions weren’t learned and for that moment he was fined $75,000.
If lessons aren’t learned from previous actions at that point, a more effective approach of a punishment is necessary.
